Barack Obama's clear victory in the recent US polls has America enthralled for 'change'. Behind Obama's platform, huge banners urged 'Vote for Change!' and no doubt the victorious senator will now set about attempting whatever he promised, only to find that he can't. It's an old story after all. Change was in the air when Bill Clinton was voted in. No-one knew much about him either until the real Bill emerged. Eight years of George Bush has had everyone reaching for the Prozac and service revolver. Four years of Tweedle Dee, followed by four years of Tweedle Dum. Don't you just loathe 'politics by personality'? Was it really 'Red Ken' Livingstone who once said, "If voting changed anything, they would make it illegal"?

The sorry truth is, very few live in a democracy. That Britain's system of government today is still termed a 'democracy' is ripe, since you get one vote and the rest is left to the politicians. Political contempt of the public has become brazen and widespread, and it's a two-way street. The British people are furious at not being listened to. Upset at the routine incompetence of those who govern us. Angry at being denied our say, not just on the future of our country, but on everything.

For a few years, Credence has run the Campaigns for Truth in Medicine and Europe to alert the public's attention to widespread abuses occurring in these two areas of society. I receive thousands of emails a year, most of which ask the same question: What can we do about it? What can we do to save people from cancer? What can we do to save Britain/Ireland/France, etc. from the beastly EU? What can be done about psychiatry, the stealing of our vitamins, forced vaccination, fluoridation, etc.? The answer, of course, is: if a job's worth doing, do it yourself. When Britain was predictably denied a referendum on whether to accept the new European Union Constitution, another example was shown of politicians' real fear of the public. And fear us they should.

Welcome to MajoritySay. If you live anywhere on Planet Earth, this is the only game in town if you want to get back the control. MajoritySay works on the simple principle that any country will be much happier if it is run according to the majority will on every point of major policy. MajoritySay holds at its core the truth that the collective wisdom of the population will always exceed that of its agenda-led politicians. Put baldly, there's 58 million of us and a few thousand of them, so where's your money going? Vote for Obama, Brown, Cameron, or the little winkle running for office in your neck of the woods, and the mosquitoes win. You'll get change all right; the usual sham democracy/dictatorship with a different face. One vote, and then they don't want to hear from you again in the intervening years until the next general election.

A government embracing MajoritySay will have to go to the country on all major points of policy. Think about it. These days we easily have the technology to do this. Vote on a Tuesday, know by Friday whether your will shall be done. Why continue with a system that's a throwback to the old days when communications were poor? MajoritySay has a number of valuable safeguards too. No entanglements in unwanted foreign wars. No dictatorships. No 'politics of personality'. Under MajoritySay, it's the functions and responsibilities which change. You're the boss.

Let me urge every one of you to shelve your reservations and look at the website. If you think the idea is good, pass it around and send it to other organisations campaigning for real democracy. The MajoritySay Team is not affiliated to any political party and the website is a free gift to all. It took me quite a few hours in the bath to come up with this, but it is the single-line equation that can fix everything, you just have to want it. Any political party adopting MajoritySay and honestly willing to implement it will sweep to power without contest. Why wouldn't it when it has no manifesto to boast of other than to implement the majority will?
