POSITIVE FOR WEST NILE VIRUS
TORONTO - Ten birds in Ontario have now tested positive for the West Nile virus and another five are presumed to be infected but there are still no cases of human infection, health officials said Monday. Scientists are setting mosquito traps
Seven of the birds carrying the disease were found in the south-western city of Windsor. Three more confirmed cases came from Halton, about one hour west of Toronto. Three presumed cases came from the Peel region just east of Toronto. Two more presumed cases were found in the city itself. Further tests are being done on all the presumed cases in Winnipeg. Tests on a bird found in Ottawa, initially presumed positive, came back negative.
The news comes as experts begin monitoring the mosquitoes
that carry the virus in an effort to control it. They're setting traps at
several locations in Ontario to collect mosquito samples. The virus is passed
from birds to mosquitoes, who pass it on to humans. Health officials say the
chance of an outbreak is remote, but they are advising people to avoid getting
mosquito bites if possible. The disease is most harmful to the elderly and
people with weak immune systems. At least 10 people have died from the disease
in the United States.

CTM comment: Using exactly the same scare tactics as the HIV industry and exactly the same faulty diagnostic procedures, WNV proponents are utilising US mainstream press outlets to convince the populace that there is a new virus on the loose and that the pharmaceutical industries are working hard for our benefit towards finding a pharmaceutical intervention.
"As predicted, Oravax has now been given a grant from the N.I.H. (National Institutes of Health) to create a WNV vaccine. The theory activists have been suggesting is that the entire WNV panic has been created specifically in order to justify the mass distribution of this very vaccine throughout the entire U.S."
