You Will Pay For Europe's Pensions!
Treaty to Raid Our £600billion Pot
by George Pascoe-Watson

Hard-working Brits will have to pay for Europe's pensions if Tony Blair signs up to the new EU treaty, experts warned last night. Britain is the only EU member with enough money to pay its OAPs - and would have to subsidise the others under the new EU constitution.

It would cost every man, woman and child £30.000 to prop up failed schemes across the Continent. Britain would also surrender powers to Brussels on workers' rights - sparking fears of a return to union power.

And a new EU law chief will be appointed with powers to prosecute anyone in Britain for offences which are not even against UK law.

EU chiefs declared yesterday they want to "co-ordinate" Britain's economic, employment and social policies. Critics warned this would mean millions from Britain's pension pot being transferred to pay for others who cannot meet demands.

Problem
Tory MP David Heathcote-Amory said: "The union shall adopt measures to ensure co-ordination of economic and employment policies. It may adopt measures to ensue co-ordination of social policies…."

Critics fear Brussels could order people to hand over £600 billion set aside for pensions to prop up payments to the EU's elderly. The size of Britain's pension liability is equal to just 20 per cent of our annual income. France owes 98 per cent, Italy 113 per cent and Germany a whopping 139 per cent.

Brussels yesterday demanded an end to the British veto in 20 new areas. Tony Blair has vowed to fight their demands, but MEPs will be given power to make laws in 35 new areas, according to the latest proposal.

Last night Downing Street insisted there will be no question of surrendering control of Britain's tax, defence or foreign policy to Brussels.

The draft treaty called for an end to the UK's veto on some "administrative" taxes, but EU chiefs would not say what they were.

Powers
Sweeping changes to Britain's shop-floor laws will be taken out of Westminster's hands under the new Charter of Fundamental Rights. This will give the European Court of Justice the right to rule whether strikes are legal or illegal, which bosses fear will lead to a strikers' charter.

The EU will have a new public prosecutor with powers to take Brits to court for offences abroad. The "Sheriff of Europe" will be appointed to crack down on EU-wide serious crime. But the public prosecutor will not be answerable to any voters in Britain.

PHILLIP DAY COMMENT: But still the British are not told the truth about what they are getting into. Firstly, nations such as France, Germany and Italy have written pensions totalling $1.3 trillion for which there are no underpinning assets. In their greed to write as many pension plans as they can, insurance companies are banking profits today that clearly won't be there in 10-15 years when the first of the baby boomers hits retirement age.

This is a time-bomb waiting to go off. Many insurance company CEOs are banking on Britain pitching in with her reserves to bale out Europe, shaky though they are with our own cumulative pensions liabilities. Are you prepared to share your pension pot with everyone else in Europe? Are you prepared to shoulder your share of their accumulated liabilities? Because that is what the euro and the constitution are going to mean for each of us in Britain.

And then of course we have the sinister new changes to our legal system. The appointment of a European prosecutor, the new Europol FBI, both of whom are answerable to… we don't quite know whom. All these officials have been given a blanket, life-time immunity from prosecution for all their acts, deeds and words under article 12, chapter 5 of the PPI/EU. Sounds like quite a deal Britain is being talked into, isn't it?

Any British person intending to vote in favour of either the euro or the constitution needs to read my new book, Ten Minutes to Midnight. Don't feel angry or ashamed that you have been duped or misled by your politicians(!). They are angling for their Brussels retirement nosebag. It's the same as it ever was. This is your future and the future of your children that is now on the table. AND THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.

"Oh, my God. I had no idea!" or "If I had known this was going to happen, I never would have voted to join the euro or the EU constitution!" Simply won't wash for Britain in the future if she signs into full integration with the EU. By the time these futile words are uttered, the measures and steps taken by this country will have been irreversible and there will be nothing anyone will be able to do about it, short of war.
